Terms and Conditions

1.         REGISTRATION TERMS

By placing your order, Participant (or “I”) agrees to all the Terms and Conditions herein (the “Terms”) as outlined by ART International, LLC (or “ART”).

2. PAYMENT & ATTENDANCE

  1. A registration is valid after full payment of course fee and after agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy on our website or in writing. 

  2. Full payment shall have been confirmed by the start of the Training. 

  3. In case payments have not been confirmed by the start of the Training, ART reserves the right to deny participation. 

  4. In case Participant show up to the Training as a non-registered participant, ART reserves the right to grant or deny participation. If granted, payment shall be effected before end of day one of the Training. 

  5. No-Show: No refund will be provided if Participant fails to both 1) attend the confirmed event within the time period allotted and 2) obtain advance written consent from ART.

  6. Our Cancellation policies (Level 1 & 2 and Level 3) apply to all cancellations for their respective courses.

  7. By signing up for this Training I confirm that I voluntarily chose to participate. 

 3. NOTICE OF IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND HEALTH WARNINGS

By agreeing to these Terms I recognize that authentic relating training and practices does not substitute for counseling, psychoanalysis, mental health care, psychotherapy or substance abuse treatment, and that the work of the authentic relating training and practices is meant to be done when major emotional and psychological wounds are already healing or healed. If I have anything in my past history indicating that I have an unresolved emotional, psychological, physical problem or a mental illness, I certify that I am not using authentic relating training and practices as a substitute for assistance from a trained mental health professional or a medical doctor. I also understand that the ART staff are not acting as therapists or psychotherapists and do not purport to offer mental healthcare. 

I acknowledge that decisions dealing with these issues lie exclusively with me. I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well-being during training sessions or calls, as well as any other interaction with the team and engagement in these practices and subsequently, including my choices and decisions. 

I understand that my trainers commit to maintain the confidentiality of our communications inside of training only to the extent I have requested so verbally or in writing. 

4. INFORMED CONSENT 

I have been informed to my satisfaction by the person who introduced me to the Training or by a representative of ART about the general content of the Training, and I have had an opportunity to ask questions about anything I do not know or understand. I recognize that it is not possible for ART to describe everything that may occur during the Training, which generally consists of teachings and data presented by the Course Leader, the voluntary sharing of experiences by other participants, and guided exercises or processes. I have the ability to give my informed consent, and by agreeing to these Terms I give such consent. 

5.  PROPRIETARY MATERIALS

ART International does not own Authentic Relating as a practice, teaching or concept. Our mission is to spread this work and fuel a global movement. We do, however, request that you respect and honor the following conditions:

  1. All copyrights, trademarks, patents and other intellectual property rights shall remain the sole property of or its licensors. The use of our trademarks, content and intellectual property is forbidden without the expressed written consent.  ART’s logo may be used when citing ART International as source of information. 

  2. Participant may not teach in the name of ART without being hired or officially appointed by ART to do so, and not teach in the name of ART for any other events than official ART events, unless agreed upon with ART in writing. 

  3. Participant may not use “The ART of Being Human” or any closely related name in any marketing purposes for any Authentic Relating event that is not an official ART event. 

  4. Participants may not record audio or video of training without written consent.

  5. Participants may not share ART-produced media unless ART is cited as the source.

  6. Participants may not violate any other content of our Privacy Policy, as stated on our website. 

  7. Anytime you use ART-specific material (e.g. The Five Practices of Authentic Relating, texts, diagrams, teachings, media, etc.), you may share it but the material has to cite ART as the original source, and ART’s web address must be provided. 

  1. If you wish to use any part of the curriculum this must be approved in advance by ART. 

  2. Participants may not sell ART material under any circumstances. 

 

 6.  LEGAL FEES

In any action or proceeding between Participant of a Training or other Client and ART, to interpret or enforce any of the provisions hereof, the prevailing party shall, in addition to any other award of damages or other remedy, be entitled to reasonable lawyers’ fees and costs.

8.  GENERAL 

By agreeing to these Terms, I confirm that I am either 18 years of age or signing for a minor child or adolescent so that services can be legally provided. 

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. As a Participant I recognize that I am bound to and responsible to comply to local, state and federal law of the Training location. 

These Terms apply to all future trainings and other engagements with ART, in addition to any and all trainings and other engagements prior to the registration to this course. This includes, but is not limited to, ART Level 1, 2, 3, 4, Authentic Leadership Program (ALP), or the Advanced Mentorship Program (AMP) calls per phone, Zoom, or any other channel, social media contacts, any coaching and any other formal or informal communication with any ART staff or communicator. 

By agreeing to these Terms, I release, waive, acquit and forever discharge ART, their staff, agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs, and affiliates collectively from every claim, suit, action, demand or right to compensation for damages I may claim to have or that I may have arising out of actions, omissions, or commissions taken by myself or by ART staff as a result of the advice given by ART staff or otherwise resulting from the training relationship contemplated hereunder. I further declare and represent that no promise, inducement or agreement not herein expressed has been made to me to enter into this release. The release made pursuant to this paragraph shall bind my heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.

“Staff” in this document includes: Trainers (also called course leaders or assisting course leaders), employees, independent contractors and volunteers or any other person working for, hired by, or collaborating with ART.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to revise and update these Terms & Conditions. A new revision will NOT change the core content of these agreements.  

These Terms, together with ART International, LLC’s Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policies (Level 1 & 2 and Level 3, Level 4, ALP & AMP) contain the entire understanding and agreement between Participant and ART International LLC, and no addition or modification of any terms shall be effective unless set forth in writing and signed by Participant and ART International LLC.
